Richard Jerkins spent over 30 years working with embalming machines that almost did what he needed. So he designed one that does. Our son Liam builds every JMS 1550 in our shop in Castlewood, Virginia.
Control at the lower end
The JMS 1550 runs up to 50 PSI. Richard built it for control at lower pressures and a lower rate of flow, which gives you better control over the injection and less swelling.
See what you’re injecting
The pressure gauge is liquid-filled, so the needle holds steady and gives you a detailed reading. The rate-of-flow sight gauge shows exactly how much you’re injecting as it happens. No more watching the tank and guessing.
Built to protect itself
- The pump shuts off on its own when the tank runs empty, so it never runs dry.
- A direct-drive pump with no belts and no pulleys. It runs smooth and quiet.
- A built-in electric fluid shutoff stops gravity drain from the tank when the machine is off. Off is off, Mix is only mix, and Inject sends fluid while the sight glass shows the rate.
- A red light for mix and a green light for inject.
Simple to keep running
It has a 2-gallon glass tank, a stainless steel base, brass plumbing fittings and chemical-resistant lines. The main fitting is a hose barb, so you can use standard, low-cost tubing, and a relaxed clear silicone hose comes with the machine. It is not rated for phenol or cavity fluid.
In use from Virginia to Puerto Rico
Funeral homes in the USA, Mexico and Puerto Rico are using our machines, and we can give you references. You get information and service before, during and after the sale.
Already have a machine you like?
If the housing on your current machine is sound, we can often put our pump and motor setup inside it instead of selling you a new one. Read When to Repair, Rebuild or Replace an Embalming Machine.
